In this session, Mark Gerow and Charles Faramarzi-Rad from Fenwick & West will present lessons learned building a world-class Internet site using SharePoint 2010. This presentation will help attendees understand what is possible with SharePoint 2010 when it’s pushed to its limits, how to create a truly content-driven website, and what challenges and pitfalls to watch out for along the way.

Mark Gerow – Director of Application Development and Business Process for Fenwick & West’s Mountain View office.

Under his direction, Fenwick has deployed over 15,000 secure extranets (also known as “deal” or “data” rooms) for all practice areas, enabling significant efficiencies in attorney-client document and information sharing. Prior to joining Fenwick & West, Mr. Gerow held a variety of IT and application development roles for Heller Ehrman, Stanford University, and Intel Corporation. He is also the author of two books, and numerous articles in the areas of collaborative software, applications development and project management.

Charles Faramarzi-Rad – Senior SharePoint Developer

Charles Faramarzi-Rad was the technical lead for the www.fenwick.com project. Charles is currently a SharePoint developer for the Fenwick and West’s Portal Team. He was also a senior SharePoint developer at Synopsys, involved with the Synopsys.com project on MOSS platform. Charles has over 7 years experience with SharePoint.
