Presentation Topic 1: Make Microsoft SharePoint More Collaborative
Mindjet is a virtual whiteboard, collaboration, and project management suite. Mindjet’s navigational maps can help both plan and execute simple or complex projects within a SharePoint environment. Chia Ling will demonstrate how Mindjet can improve adoption of SharePoint by:

· Enabling users to easily navigate SharePoint resources
· Enhancing the social collaboration framework of SharePoint
· Offering Project Managers a visually superior way to communicate project goals and tasks

With Mindjet and Microsoft SharePoint, it’s easier to plan, start and complete projects leveraging the document management and task management features of SharePoint.

Speaker 1 Profile: Chia Ling, System Engineer for Mindjet, has over 14 years of experience as a product manager and sales engineer in software technology for companies such as Workshare, Astoria Software, and Alivecor. Presentation Topic 2: Painless PowerShell
Ramona Maxwell will give us an overview of how to use PowerShell to streamline SharePoint administration tasks, and then illustrate these examples with a demonstration. She will also provide a link to the code and resources used in the demo.

Speaker 2 Profile: Ramona Maxwell, SharePoint Consultant, Maxwell Arts Tech
Ramona is a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer in SharePoint 2010 with experience designing, implementing, migrating and customizing Enterprise installations of SharePoint. Because SharePoint professionals often fill multiple roles she is interested in practical ways to make common SharePoint setup and administration tasks easier and working with the exciting ECM and collaboration features of SharePoint. www.SharePointSolver.com

Presentation Topic 3: Creating Wireframe Mockups for SharePoint
If anyone ever said to you, “just show me what SharePoint can do and then I’ll tell you what I want” then it’s time for you to get familiar with creating wireframes. Mockups are a great tool to have in your arsenal in the eternal fight against vague customer requirements, and you don’t need a graphic design degree to make them. I’ll show you how easy it can be to create wireframes in Visio and Balsamiq Mockups as well as provide resources for pre-built SharePoint stencils. Balsalmiq has also provided us with a Mockups license to raffle off.

Speaker 3 Profile: Caitlin Young, SharePoint Lead at First Republic Bank
Caitlin specializes in bridging the communication gap between IT and the lines of business. She’s been creating practical solutions with SharePoint for the past three releases and is currently SharePoint Lead at First Republic Bank in San Francisco. Her other specialties include Dynamics CRM, InfoPath, graphic design and amazing cupcakes.

Suggested Audience: All SharePoint roles.
